WHAT WE OFFER

FIRST STEP

Transitional Housing

Safe, furnished housing with on-site support for adults leaving homelessness. Participants can stay temporary or make this their permanent home while stabilizing health, benefits, and daily routines. Every unit is  clean, and move-in ready.

  • Private or shared furnished rooms in shared community homes
  • Resident support staff
  • Utilities Included
  • Immediate placement for individuals in crisis

Ongoing Support

Case Management

Every resident is paired with a dedicated case manager if they don't have one already. The case manager meets with them weekly together they build a personalized stability plan covering healthcare, benefits enrollment, employment, and community connection.

  • Weekly one-on-one case manager meetings
  • Benefits navigation: Medi-Cal, SSI, SNAP, and more
  • Mental health and substance use referrals
  • Crisis support and conflict resolution

Building Skills

Life Skills & Employment

Workshops and one-on-one coaching help residents build the practical skills needed for independent living — from budgeting and cooking to job searching and interview preparation.

  • Financial literacy and budgeting workshops
  • Job readiness coaching and resume support
  • Partnerships with local employers for job placement
  • Cooking, nutrition, and household management classes
